New D.R. Horton single-family homes on larger homesites near the Savannah River, with room for a boat or RV on your lot.
See Cypress Landing Homes for Sale Ask Carl About Cypress LandingCypress Landing is a new construction community of single-family homes in Hardeeville, South Carolina, in Jasper County, where D.R. Horton is building on 31 homesites. Three homes were built earlier, when the neighborhood was known as Cypress Harbour. The community sits along Meyer Lake near the Savannah River and the Georgia state line.
Homes are one-story and two-story designs with 3 to 5 bedrooms and two-car garages. Many homesites are over half an acre, and every homesite allows a boat or RV to be parked on the property, provided the community guidelines are followed. Cypress Landing is not a gated community.
Cypress Landing stands out among Hardeeville new construction communities because of its larger homesites, boat and RV parking, and convenient access to Savannah, the airport, and I-95.
Cypress Landing is in western Hardeeville, near the Savannah River, off Purrysburg Road (State Road S-27-34), with streets including Planters Court, Planters Row, Harbour Drive, and Lakeshore Drive. It sits on the Savannah side of the SC Lowcountry, which shortens the drive to Savannah and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport compared with most Bluffton and Hilton Head Island communities.
The setting is rural and wooded. Grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday services are in the commercial area around I-95 in Hardeeville.
Traffic and time of day can materially affect travel times.
D.R. Horton builds Cypress Landing homes from its Tradition Series, with one-story and two-story floor plans, open kitchen and living areas, and smart home technology. Every current plan includes a two-car garage.
The one-story plans give buyers first-floor living on a single level. The larger two-story plans add a fifth bedroom or extra living space for buyers who want a home office, guest space, or hobby room.
| Style | Approx. Size | Bed / Bath |
|---|---|---|
| One-story | 1,475 to 1,774 sq ft | 3 to 4 bed / 2 bath |
| Two-story | 1,991 to 2,594 sq ft | 4 to 5 bed / 2.5 to 3 bath |
Floor plans reflect the builder's lineup as of September 2026. Plans, pricing, and incentives change, so current Cypress Landing listings show what is available now.
No. Cypress Landing has no community amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, or recreation area. The emphasis is on larger homesites rather than shared amenities. Every homesite allows a boat or RV to be parked on the property, subject to community guidelines.
For getting on the water, Millstone Landing, a public boat ramp on the Savannah River, is about 1.8 miles from the community. Compare other water-oriented options in my Hilton Head and Bluffton boating communities guide.
Cypress Landing is served by the Jasper County School District. Current assigned public schools include Hardeeville Elementary School, Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School, and Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School. Confirm school assignments with the district for a specific property.
Beyond the purchase price, plan for four recurring costs: HOA dues, Jasper County property taxes, homeowners insurance, and flood insurance.
HOA dues support common areas, including the community entrance. See my HOA and transfer fee guide for current figures.
In South Carolina, an owner-occupied primary residence generally qualifies for the 4% assessment ratio, while a second home or rental is generally assessed at 6%, so how you plan to use the home changes your tax bill. Cypress Landing is in Flood Zone AE, so budget for flood insurance from the start. My flood insurance guide explains how zones affect premiums.
Yes. Cypress Landing is in FEMA Flood Zone AE, which is inside FEMA's Special Flood Hazard Area, based on the flood map reviewed September 25, 2026. A narrow strip of Zone X runs along Purrysburg Road near Harbour Drive.
Lenders require flood insurance on homes in Zone AE when the mortgage is federally backed or federally regulated. Premiums depend largely on the home's elevation, so ask for the elevation certificate on any Cypress Landing home you are considering and get an insurance quote before your due diligence period ends.
I've lived in the SC Lowcountry since December 1996 and have been licensed since 2009. What I like most about Cypress Landing is the country environment. Many homesites are over half an acre, and the setting is quiet, which is not what most people expect from new construction in this part of the Lowcountry.
It is also a practical place for boaters. You can park your boat at your house, and Millstone Landing, with access to the Savannah River, is a few miles away.
You also get reasonable access to the places most buyers will use regularly. Downtown Savannah, the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, and Old Town Bluffton are each roughly 30 minutes away, depending on traffic.
The builder's sales team represents the builder. D.R. Horton uses its own purchase contract rather than the standard South Carolina contract. Your own Broker & Realtor can help you understand the builder's process, negotiate terms where possible, track deadlines, coordinate inspections, and represent your interests throughout the transaction. Builders typically require your agent to be registered at your first visit, so contact me before you tour.
Get an independent inspection. A new home still benefits from a pre-drywall inspection and a final inspection before closing, even with a builder warranty.
Values are builder-driven for now. Apart from three homes built earlier as Cypress Harbour, Cypress Landing has little resale history, so D.R. Horton's pricing on its 31 homesites largely sets home values. Compare base price, lot premium, and incentives across the available homes before choosing one.
Compare financing offers. Builder incentives are often tied to the builder's affiliated lender. Compare the full cost of that offer against at least one outside lender.
There are no community amenities. There is no pool, clubhouse, or shared recreation area. The value is in the homesite and room to store a boat or RV at home.
Flood insurance is part of the budget. Cypress Landing is in Flood Zone AE. Get a flood insurance quote based on the specific home's elevation certificate before you commit, not after.
The beach is a drive. Coligny Beach Park on Hilton Head Island is about an hour away, so this location works best for buyers who prioritize space and Savannah access over beach proximity.

If a short drive to the beach is your top priority, a community in Bluffton or on Hilton Head Island will likely fit better. Start with my SC Lowcountry relocation guide to compare areas.
